For clients that demand idle quality, and the best in drivability we offer a fully recirculated BOV. Like the stock BOV, the PERRIN recirc BOV keeps the vented air in the intake system to keep the ECU happy and running smooth. BOV's that vent to atmosphere can run rich between shifts causing backfires, can cause idle issues, and part throttle drivability on cars that have MAF sensors. This is due to metered air, the ECU thinks is being ingested by the engine, being expelled to the atmosphere. Popular cars with MAF sensors, are all Subaru WRX, STI, Legacy GT, Forester XT, Mitsubishi Evolution 8-10, Nissan GT-R, and many other popular turbo cars.
With the PERRIN BOV, there is no reason to add more washers or change the spring to allow it to hold more boost. Our BOV works very different than others in that there is no need to have a spring to hold boost! The boost pressure is put on the back of the piston to keep it closed, and helps keep the piston from lifting prematurely. This allows the BOV to hold more than an almost unlimited amount of boost!
The PERRIN Recirc BOV has many adjustments to taylor it to your driving style and horsepower. You are able to adjust when the BOV releases, and how much it releases by adjusting the spring and flow control screw. The flow controlThese very unique features are things not found on any other BOV.
While some may be wanting a "loud" BOV, the PERRIN recirc valve can still be heard through your intake system especially if an after-market Short Ram or Cold Air Intake is installed. While this may not be loud enough to wake up the neighbors, it is loud enough for you to hear in the car.
